KARYA TARI “MARASOI” PENAFSIRAN PENGENDALIAN EMOSI DARI NILAI SOSIAL TARI TRADISI ILAU DI NAGARI SUMANI KABUPATEN SOLOK

Abstract

The "Marasoi" dance work was inspired by a cultural phenomenon in Nagari Sumani, X Koto Singkarak District, Solok Regency, namely the Ilau tradition dance. The Ilau tradition dance illustrates the sadness of parents when the child will be married and no longer live with his parents, in the form of rhymes that contain heart moans and cause sadness for those who hear it. From this phenomenon, the work is interested in what is felt by the work through the empirical experience as the perpetrators of the ilau dance, which works using the ilau dance as a source of inspiration in working on the work of this Marasoi dance, the work feels that in the ilau dance there is a very important life lesson that is how we are how we are how we can control emotional or the existence of our emotional control in everyday life (emotional control). The emotional control phenomenon tries to work into the form of group choreography displayed at the Hoeridjah Adam Performant Institute of Indonesian Arts Institute of Padangpanjang. The work divided into three parts is displayed by five male dancers. The clothing makeup used is a dashing stage for male dancers, while the clothes used are white singlet clothes with white loose pants. The method used in the cultivation of this work is data collection or field observations, data processing, literature study, exploration, structuring motion, improvisation, formation and evaluation. phenomenon tries to work into the form of group choreography displayed at the Hoeridjah Adam Performant Institute of Indonesian Arts Institute of Padangpanjang.
