MELODI KESEDIHAN INTERPRETASI CERITA RAKYAT MALIN DEMAN DAN PUTI BUNGSU DALAM PENGGARAPAN TARI BARU

Abstract

The Melodi Kesedihan dance work is insured by a flok tale in Mukomuko, Bengkulu, which is about the disappointment experienced by Malin Deman. In work, the artist tries to interpret Malin Deman disappointment towards Puti Bungsu, which focuses on the disappointment experienced by Malin Deman and the regret he has felt because of his own behavior. Om the Melodi Kesedihan work, each dancer perfoms a movement that depicts disappointment based on movements that have been developed by the artist. The methods used in creating this work consist of data collection and field observation, exploration, improvisation, forming, and vealuation. This work is danced by seven female dancers and one male dancer wuth the theme of life, dramatic type and reinforced by live techni music according to the flow of the artist’s expectations.
