Melayu Arts and Performance Journal is an open-access, peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal dedicated to the publication of new research in all aspects of the arts and performances, with primary attention being paid to the exploration, experimentation and innovation of all areas of the arts. Original research articles should written in Indonesian (with abstrack and title also written in English) and featuring well-designed studies with results clearly analyzed and logically interpreted are accepted, with strong preference being given to research that has the potential to make a significant contribution to both the field of art theory and art practice. Melayu Arts and Performance Journal focusing on the study of performing arts and visual arts, as well as the development of methods for the creation of performing arts and visual arts, especially those born within the framework of art education at the postgraduate level. Melayu was chosen as the main target of the study of the writings presented in the Melayu Arts and Performance Journal, and understood as a cultural area, rather than as a particular ethnic group, which included all cultures, both tradition and contemporary, of the nations living in Southeast Asia.
