PEMBELAJARAN BATIK DALAM PROGRAM KEAHLIAN KRIYA TEKSTIL DI SMK NEGERI 8 PADANG

Abstract


The research entitled "Batik Learning in the Textile Craft Expertise Program at SMK Negeri 8 Padang" examined the batik learning process and the techniques used for making batik craft products in batik learning in the textile craft expertise program at SMK Negeri 8 padang. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method that discusses data in accordance with the facts encountered in the field. Data collection in this study was carried out through observation, interviews, documentation and literature studies. The implementation of the batik learning process is divided into several stages, first starting with preparation and then the learning process. Preparation begins with preparing learning tools (syllabus and rpp) as well as tools and materials used in the batik process. The learning process is divided into two stages, namely the introduction and core activities. The classic motifs used by students are floral motifs in the form of pucuak rabuang motifs, siriah gadang, kaluak paku kacang belimbiang. The motif of the fauna motif of itiak pulang patang, the motif of kuciang lalok. Geometric motifs in the form of saik galamai motifs and other natural object motifs in the form of gadang houses which became minangkabau identities. Making batik writing techniques begins with making designs, cutting fabric materials, moving design patterns on fabrics, setting nights, dyeing, giving waterglass, parodying and ending with finishing. The quality of the shawl products produced is already good.
