Scoring: Journal of Film Music, an academic journal published by the Department of Film Music, Faculty of Performing Arts, Institut Seni Indonesia Padangpanjang twice a year. This journal publishes original articles focusing on the results of studies in the field of film music. The coverage of topics in this journal includes:

Music in moving picture; Music in moving pictures; Music, such as movies, TV shows, animations, games and commercials. Music that enhances the overall viewing experience and leaves a lasting impression on the audience.Composition or Arrangement for film music.

History of film music; History from the early days of cinema until now is related to music accompanying visuals, technology, economics, film composers, and systems of collaboration between film composers and the visual world to enhance storytelling.

Theory of Film Music or Analysis; Film Music Theory seeks to analyze and understand the various elements and techniques used in creating film music. It explores how music can evoke certain emotions, create tension, highlight important moments, and develop character. By studying the relationship between music and visuals, as well as the use of leitmotifs and thematic development, analysts can gain insight into the narrative and aesthetic choices made by the filmmaker. This theory allows for a deeper appreciation and understanding of the art of film music.

Music Technology; Music technology refers to the use of technology in the creation, production, and distribution of music. The use of advanced tools for musicians to create, record, and edit music. Digital audio workstations (DAWs), synthesizer software, and virtual instruments have made it easier to create a wide variety of sounds and musical textures. The internet also plays an important role, allowing artists to distribute music directly to audiences via streaming platforms and social media.

An interdisciplinary field that combines elements of musicology, ethnomusicology, and music theory, as well as other fields and musical performance. Music studies, a deeper understanding of music as an art form and its role in society. They learn to analyze and interpret musical works, develop their musical skills, and engage with a variety of musical genres and traditions.
