Proses Kreatif Penciptaan Pantomime “Kawan Lama” Melalui Penelitian Berbasis Refleksi Artistik
Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas proses kreatif penciptaan karya pantomim Kawan Lama yang mengangkat tema persahabatan, keterbatasan fisik, dan nilai kemanusiaan melalui pendekatan non-verbal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merefleksikan tahapan kreatif secara mendalam berdasarkan model Wallas yang mencakup Preparation, Incubation, Illumination, dan Verification. Menggunakan metode refleksi artistik dalam kerangka praktik berbasis riset, peneliti sekaligus pencipta karya menelusuri pengalaman tubuh, intuisi sosial, dan respon performatif dari dua performer siswa sekolah menengah di Kota Bukittinggi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa model Wallas efektif sebagai alat navigasi dalam proses kreatif pertunjukan, dengan penekanan pada pencerahan emosional dan pengorbanan yang tak terduga sebagai elemen dramatik utama. Pantomim terbukti mampu menyampaikan pesan mendalam tanpa kata, dan pendekatan reflektif ini menawarkan kontribusi penting bagi praktik penciptaan seni yang berpijak pada pengalaman empatik dan makna sosial. Penelitian ini mendorong penguatan metode reflektif dalam pendidikan seni pertunjukan dan membuka ruang bagi pengembangan narasi tubuh yang humanistik
