Penggunaan Aplikasi Coreldraw Dalam Pembuatan Motif Melayu Di Umkm Nal Advertising

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the use of the CorelDRAW application in the process of making Malay motifs at UMKM NAL Advertising and examine whether the application facilitates the design process. The problem studied focuses on the effectiveness of using CorelDRAW in supporting the production of traditional Malay motif designs digitally. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, through observation, interview, and documentation techniques at the research location. The results showed that the CorelDRAW application facilitates the process of making Malay motifs because it provides various features such as Shape Tool, PowerClip, and Duplicate which help designers in making motifs precisely and efficiently. Nevertheless, some technical obstacles such as applications that sometimes crash and device limitations are still a challenge. The conclusion of this research is that CorelDRAW is an effective tool in supporting the preservation of Malay motifs through digital media, and there needs to be support in improving skills and infrastructure so that this technology can be optimally utilized by UMKM players.
