‘Maindang Tigo Batikai’ Dari Kesenian Dabuih Nagari Lumpo Kecamatan IV Jurai Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan Provinsi Sumatera Barat

Abstract


Kesenian dabuih yang berkembang di Nagari Lumpo, Kecamatan IV Jurai, Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan, sering ditampilkan dalam acara adat. Dalam pertunjukannya, terdapat ansambel pembuka bernama Maindang Rabano yang berfungsi sebagai pengantar sebelum seni dabuih dipentaskan. Keunikan Maindang Rabano terletak pada ritme dan pola vokalnya, yang menjadi inspirasi untuk mengembangkan komposisi musik baru. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan komposisi musik berbasis seni dabuih, khususnya dari permainan Maindang Rabano, dengan pendekatan tradisional dan berbagai teknik kreatif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi lapangan, diskusi, sintesis, hingga tahap realisasi, serta melalui dokumentasi seperti rekaman audio, buku penelitian terdahulu, dan arsip budaya setempat. Maindang Rabano dimainkan secara berkelompok dan termasuk jenis musik perkusi ritmis, karena seluruh alat musiknya dipukul. Instrumen utama adalah gandang rabana yang dimainkan oleh 10-12 orang, dengan teknik campuran serta pola call and response (tanya jawab). Hasilnya, komposisi ini mencerminkan karakteristik unik dari Maindang Rabano dalam konteks musik baru yang mempertahankan unsur tradisional. Proses ini diharapkan dapat melestarikan dan mengenalkan seni dabuih ke generasi mendatang dengan format yang relevan dan mudah diapresiasi.
