Melayu Arts and Performance Journal

Melayu Arts and Performance Journal (MAPJ) [E-ISSN 2656-3509 | P-ISSN: 2656-0232 | DOI: 10.26887/mapj] is an open-access, peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal dedicated to the publication of new research in all aspects of the arts and performances, with primary attention being paid to the exploration, experimentation, and innovation of all areas of the arts. Original research articles written in English or Bahasa Indonesia and featuring well-designed studies with results clearly analyzed and logically interpreted are accepted, with a strong preference being given to research that has the potential to make a significant contribution to both the field of art theory and art practice.



Melayu Arts and Performance Journal (MAPJ) publishes Studies, Research Results, Records of the Creative Process, and Thoughts on Art, including, but not limited to, Dramatic Art, Visual Art, Music, Film and TV, Culinary, Craft, Visual Communication and Product, Interior and Architecture Design, Animation, Videography, Photography, Mode, Art Management and Art Tourism. Melayu culture was chosen by MAPJ as the focus of the study, but it is not defined as ethnicity but as a cultural area. Therefore, articles with Cultural Studies, Ethnography and Humanity Studies approach on Melayu culture are also invited to be published in MAPJ

Melayu Arts and Performance Journal (MAPJ) is published biannually (November-April and May-October) by Postgraduate Program of ISI Padangpanjang in collaboration with APSI (Association of Indonesian Art Educators), ASETI (Association of Indonesian Dance Artists), and ASERI (Riau Artists Association). Melayu Arts and Performance Journal (MAPJ) published online and in print and now is indexed in: SintaGoogle ScholarGarudaDimensionsCrossrefBASE, DRJI, and Moraref
